Biography: Mark Molckovsky
Mark was born in Mississauga, Ontario, in the eighth month of 1984. Growing up
in a traditional Ukrainian household was accentuated by the Ukrainian education
he received at St. Demetrius Catholic School. In high school, Mark's Ukrainian
education was kept up by the Saturday school program he attended at Lesia
Ukrainka Ukrainian School.
Mark's early high school education coincided with a long list of volunteer work within his old Ukrainian community and parish, helping organize and run events as well as volunteer at a home for the elderly. In Grade 10, Mark received his
Grade 10 certificate in piano. His interests in the performing arts peaked when
he joined the DNIPRO Ukrainian Dance Ensemble in Toronto. In 2003, Mark
graduated from St. Michael's College high school with a number of awards,
including the University of Toronto National Scholarship and a Gold Duke of
Edinburgh Award.
In his post secondary education Mark has continued his work within the community,
volunteering with Youth Assisting Youth and helping design a water filtration
system at Cambridge University. In the past Mark has also worked as an
Assistant Business Analyst for the Bank of Montreal and has done work for Atomic
Energy of Canada. Mark is currently in his second year studying Engineering Science at the University of Toronto.
Mark will always remember his friends and family within the Ukrainian community
for their love and continual support throughout his life.
